This is a very nice brass spare tire bracket for a pre 1915 automobile. It has it's mounting bracket and original leather strap. Where the tire fits into bracket is adjustible. It is suited for an early tire, such as would go on a horseless carriage. I bought this years ago for my 1911 Raceabout.This bracket would go on the side of the car, for a running board mounted spare tire. A hard item to find in excellent condition. 14 " long x 4" diam., which opens wider.7/8" dia. brass. This item would make a nice addition to a pre 1915 automobile, for adding a spare tire.
