Original vintage remote oil filter canister for Ford Flathead V8 engines. This is an authentic steel cartridge-style oil filter housing commonly used on 1938–1953 Ford passenger cars and trucks. Unit is complete with lid, center standpipe, mounting bracket, and retaining bolt. Shows normal wear, surface rust, and patina from age and use. There is a small dent near the lower portion of the canister (see photos). Interior shows oil residue as expected. No cracks observed.
