Believe there are a black and white pre-wired connectors on USA 7/9 models? Sender and wiring pigtails are included to wire it as stand-alone, if needed? Do not recall precisely, but want to say black connector is often sometime ‘94+ on USA 7/9 models, commonly? Has a switch on the bottom side to toggle between \*F and \*C / displays the temperature either \*F or \*C units, has a red LED that illuminates in particularly hazardous road temps ~23-36F.
