VALVE COVER,7 FIN,Chevy Corvette 283 327,Man Cave garage VINTAGE DISPLAY, wall hanger ONLY This is an early SINGLE Chevy 283/327,finned, aluminum valve cover. Whether you are an early model vette restorer/owner or a late model Z06 C8 person, show your loyalty by displaying this ONE valve cover. This VINTAGE valve cover is NOT intended to be a restoration part,it is however an original part, NOT a chinese repro. This cover is for the guy/gal for his ‘mancave’ / garage or her ‘she shed’. It IS an original. I redo single or oddball, vintage hot rod or stock valve covers, but only re-do the ones with Embossed lettering(script) or raised fins. I re-do these myself with a baked on black wrinkle coat and then hand paint the script (or hand sand the fins) with a corresponding color of paint to that brand of engine or because I only do American engines I may choose Red/White/Blue. I also use satin clearcoat afterwards even on the inside so 'stuff' doesn't fall out while hanging up. THIS valve cover is from a ‘Vette’ small block and although the engines were orange back then, I chose RED for the letters for the right pop w/o looking too Halloween with the black and orange. This particular cover came out pretty well overall. The ‘wrinkle’ is even although not overly heavy. DISCLAIMER= If you are 10' away, and squint, this looks perfectly done. This is intended to be a display/conversation piece, but look around for these EARLY finned covers that are this straight and you will see how much money people want for them. I have to ‘pay up’ to find decent original cores.
