The column is thoroughly cleaned inside and out. All tolerances and clearances are checked. The main steering shaft is cleaned, regreased, and reinstalled with the above repacked or new bearings. This ensures that your steering wheel will never wobble or have any play in it. Finally, new switches are installed. The turn signal switch is double-checked for functionality and reinstalled.
