 # RK600-01 REKUDO JL8 Front Wheel Bearing Hub Assembly Fits 1970-1981 Camaro / Firebird with REKUDO JL8 Brake System, and 1969-1982 C3 Chevrolet Corvette. REKUDO has engineered an all-new forged 4140 steel front wheel bearing hub assembly with excellent strength and durability. The forged 4140 steel construction offers 25% higher tensile strength and 35% higher fatigue strength than cast hubs. It is also E-coated for corrosion resistance. This hub is a direct replacement for any 1969-1982 C3 Chevy Corvette. The hub comes with races and wheel studs installed, quality wheel bearings, inner seal, washer, castle nut and cotter pin to complete the installation are included. Each hub kit is sold individually, and fits either the driver (LH) or passenger (RH) side. The 4-wheel disc brake upgrade (Corvette style 4-piston calipers for both front and rear) was offered on the 1968 Camaro as a "Heavy Duty Service" package sold through the parts counter at Chevrolet car dealers. In 1969, the 4-piston disc brakes could be ordered as a Regular Production Option (RPO) JL8 package on production vehicles. These high-end brakes were made available to support racing programs like the Sports Car Club of America® (SCCA), and Trans-Am® road racing series. This unique brake option is very rare and was only sold on about 200 production vehicles..
