Did you break the retainer that holds down the fuel lines?Without this part, the pressure generated by the pump can blow the fuel line right off the assembly resulting in an engine starved for fuel.It can also cause a fire if the fuel gets on to the exhaust. This is the last (more durable) fuel line retainer from Saab. Works on all Saab pumps. Much more than a piece of metal bent 4 times with a hole drilled into it as the arms will not bend upwards under normal use. Why buy a replacement pump when all you need is a retainer?
