This is a real deal OEM GM "3 Step" oil pan that was used on 1957-1962 Corvettes. This is known as the "3 step" trap door pan due to the 3 levels of the sump. These were rare when new and very hard to find today. This pan is in good survivor condition as shown. The part is very nice with a some dents on the sump area and no pitting, repairs, or other damage. From what I understand, these 3 step pans without the trap door are harder to find than the trap door pans. That is because these non-trap door pans were made as service replacements for a short period or time and then the trap door pan was the replacement for all 57-62 Corvettes.
