This **SUPER MINT** unit was removed from a 1985 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser that was equipped this top-of-the-line upgrade stereo. This was widely known as GM's "Corporate Radio" and was used in a **wide variety** of GM models from from 1978 (or 79) up until to 1990 or so in certain models (models after 1987 like the Jimmy, Blazer and Suburban models for example). It was **COMPLETELY disassembled, cleaned and refreshed by a Delco-trained Service Technician with over 40 years experience**. Please see the uploaded video AND photos 3-5 to see the unit functioning in AM, FM and Cassette Player models after the rebuild and before being detailed-the 2nd photo is also included to show how clean the unit it without the faceplate installed. It is NOT a "working when removed" or "plays fine" radio that you are hoping works when it arrives (or that you hope doesn't fail within a month after installation). Again, although it is from a 1984 model, it fits a **wide variety** of GM models that used the 12-pin plug harness-see photos of the back of the radio for comparison) from 1978 (or 79) up until to 1990 or so in certain models. **ALL of the photos in this listing are of the exact unit you will receive.** Although it appears similar, it does NOT fit the Cadillac models which used the larger "rabbit ears" mounting faceplate-if you have one of these models, you will know what I am talking about. This can also replace the "older" updated Digital 2700 ETR without the Dolby Noise Reduction (DNR) switch which was introduced after 1982. This unit is over 40 years old and has been gone through over several hours to make it the best that it can be and is much better than gambling on other units that claim to have been "working when removed"; **I will also stand behind this unit so if you have any issues, you will be able to call me direct at the number on my enclosed business card.** Among these other items mentioned being inspected and repaired/replaced as needed, the cassette tape path including capstan and pinch rollers were thoroughly cleaned and the head has been cleaned of oxides and the appropriate components demagnetized. Tape speed was checked and adjusted with a 440 HZ calibration tape against a frequency meter on the bench. All button and control contact surfaces were also cleaned during the inspection. The AM and FM bands pick up many station clearly and all 4 speaker channels are functioning well. All in all, the radio and cassette and works perfectly as seen being tested on the bench after the rebuild (please see the VIDEO and the photos of the different functions being tested on the bench after the rebuild). I have also posted photos of the unit _**with and without the faceplate**_(see last two photos!) and at many different angles so you can see the true condition of the radio-it is not PERFECT **but it is VERY, VERY nice** with ZERO corrosion or rust and I think anyone who purchases it will not be let down by its appearance or performance. Having an original factory radio installed will not only rise the value of the car, but it will also score extra points when being judged at a show. These older Delco GM radios are becoming very hard to find, so if you are looking to upgrade to this very rare and desirable digital ETR AM/FM cassette equalizer stereo radio, wishing to convert back to a factory Delco GM setup, or looking for a radio for an older hot rod, rat rod, or custom, here's your chance to grab a real show quality radio. This stereo will be shipped with USPS 2-3 Day Priority Mail, and can also be shipped worldwide using the USPS International Priority Mail service. If you have any questions about the stereo, you're more than welcome to ask. Thank you for your interest and good luck. ALL digital display numerals also work 100% as shown being bench-tested in the photos; it is not PERFECT like a new one would be, but works flawlessly and is VERY clean cosmetically. It is VERY hard to find these units in this condition and although it was stored on a shelf for decades, it is in fantastic cosmetic condition, from the faceplate right down to the super shiny chrome buttons. Usually the station display window is in terrible shape but this one is still shiny and clear as you can see; almost 100% of the chrome-trimmed highlights are also intact. It was missing the knobs, but I installed a BRAND-NEW set to go along to it's new home. Although it appears similar, it does NOT fit the Cadillac Fleetwood and Deville models which used the wider "rabbit ears" mounting faceplate-if you have one of these models, you will know what I am talking about; I do know that it will fit the 79-83 Eldorado and Seville models, but just double-check to be sure. The AM and FM bands pick up many station clearly and all 4 speaker channels are functioning well. All in all, the radio works perfectly as seen being tested on the bench after the rebuild (please see the VIDEO and the 2nd photo being tested on the bench after the rebuild-I used Buick knobs for the testing **but you will get the chrome knobs shown in the rest of the photos**). I have also posted photos of the unit with and without the faceplate (see last photos) and at many different angles so you can see the true condition of the radio-it is VERY nice with ZERO corrosion throughout and I think anyone who purchases it will not be let down by its appearance or performance.
