This listing is for our mail-in repair services + Bluetooth integration **Seamless Bluetooth integration**……no external dash switch…..no extra wiring…..no alterations to the radios appearance….just plug and play **The integrated Bluetooth system senses when your phone is connected and automatically overtakes FM audio.** **Bluetooth Operation Notes:** •To turn on Bluetooth: Switch the radio to FM…connect your phone to the radio via Bluetooth….and you are ready to start streaming from your phone •Disconnect your phone from the radio via Bluetooth to flip back to a regular radio •After the first time you connect your phone to the radio via Bluetooth….the radio will auto connect to your phone via Bluetooth each time you turn the radio on • **This is a music/audio Bluetooth streaming device(YouTube, Pandora, etc)….not hands free calling with a dash mic** **How the mail-in repair service works:** After you have purchased the service….we will ship you a box with egg crate foam packaging tailored to package/ship these radios easily & safely (last pic). You will use this box, foam packaging and a supplied shipping label to safely ship us the radio to be repaired. **Turnaround time is currently 5-7 business days.** **Common problems we DO FIX with the mail-in repair service:** •AM &/or FM malfunctions •Stuck on tape mode •Poor Button function •Unbalanced or no audio output •Lighting or display malfunctions •Cassette mechanism malfunctions •scratchy noise at power up •intermittent power loss **Problems we DON’T FIX with the mail-in repair service:** •If your unit is completely dead except for a backlight…..no sound…no display….just getting nothing except the button lights. **•We do not offer replacement faceplates** **What the mail-in service includes:** •Replace all electrolytic capacitors….giving each radio we service a new lease on life •Replace all burned out bulbs •Resurface button contacts •Address all failed and prone to failure solder joints •Repair of any damaged circuit traces and etc components to bring the unit back to fully operational •Cassette mechanism service/repair •2 year warranty •Bluetooth integration **Additional charges that may apply:** •$35 charge for Cassette mechanism replacement if warranted(physical damage) and desired…. **What I have observed while repairing thousands of these radios**: The 32 original electrolytic capacitors are prone to failure at this age….they were never meant to last this long…. **This is why these radios are notorious for failing**. For this reason I replace all these capacitors on all these radios I service with higher quality modern capacitors effectively giving the radios a new lease on life and increased performance.
