Today I'm selling this 4 Hour Twin Disc DVD Set that will take you through the Chevy 4L80E Automatic Transmission complete teardown naming all parts and components. The photos will show a parts diagram of all parts in the 4L80E transmission and you will watch me remove all those components calling them by their names. I will rebuild every clutch drum like the Forward Clutch and the Direct Clutch Drum by removing all the clutches, piston and retainer, removing all lip seals, then showing how to install the lip seals and install the piston and retainer back into the clutch drum, then air test the drum / I will deal with bushings, washers and bearing throughout the build / You will watch me name and remove these parts and components along with several small parts not mentioned. Case, speed sensors / front pump / 4th clutch piston housing / Turbine shaft and housing assembly / overrun clutch / overdrive carrier / Forward clutch drum / Direct clutch drum / intermediate clutch / center support / reaction gear / coast band and rear band / output carrier assembly with output shaft / low and intermediate servos / valve body both sections / shift linkage / output housing. Every component that has clutches will be taken apart and rebuilt with new seals; sealing rings and lip seals. I will show you how to replace all those seals. All clutches will be checked for clearance and you will see how to preform that function. I will show you how every part will fit back into the case with flat washers and torrington bearings that came out of the trans, and to get the proper clearance between each part installed. I will show you the proper way to rebuild the front pump and the proper way to install the pump into the case. I also will remove all valves and springs from both sections of the valve bodies and inspect, clean and reinstall it all back together and install it on the transmission. You will learn all there is to know to build your own. After I install the rebuilt converter the proper way you and I will take the 4L80E to a professional transmission shop and have it dynoed. You will watch it run through all the gears forward and reverse and see the pressures on the gauges from the dyno and it works perfect Old School builder that gives you your money's worth!
