Here is an original Catalytic converter removed from a 78 Pontac Trans Am many years ago and has been stored indoors ever since. It was working fine but as you all know most of those were removed back in the day because that was the cool thing to do. There is one very small hole in the shell as shown in pic, The shell is just a heat shield and there is no possibility of an exhaust leak there. The inlet is 2 1/2 O.D. and the outlet is 2 1/2 I.D. I'm sure it would be correct for other years too but I can only tell you what it came from for sure.
