JEEP XJ CHEROKEE DANA 30 INNER AXLE SHAFT USED 5-260X THE SHAFT IS GOOD USED AND IS IN WORKING CONDITION USED IN 1987 TO 1988 JEEP XJ CHEROKEE The cap diameter on a 5-260X are 1.062 inches. The cap diameter on a 5-760X, the bigger U Joint used in all the rest of the Dana 30 and Dana 44 front axles with U Joints is 1.19 inches. The best way to check and see if you have the smaller U Joint is by measuring the cap diameter. FOR REFERENCE - INNER SHAFT IS 16.57 LONG. MEASERMENTS SHOULD BE TAKEN FROM CENTER OF U JOINT CAP TO END OF SPLINE, 27 SPLINE - Uses 5-260X U-Joint. This is a smaller U Joint than the most other Jeep axles. The cap diameter on the bigger 5-760X is 1.19 inches. The cap diameter on the older 5-260X is 1.062 inches. If you are not sure of what you have Please check the cap diameter of you U-Joint before you order this part! When measuring front axle shafts, all measurements should be taken from center of U-Joint to end of the spline.
