Early Borg Warner T10 4 Speed Transmission GM Clearing out my Father’s Estate When he purchased this T10 it **WAS** an aluminum case that was cracked. (Previous owner dropped it during a clutch installation) My Dad had a GM Technician friend who had a cast iron case, so he had him re-case it (see receipt from 1983). It was never installed into a vehicle. It has just been sitting on a shelf since 7/14/1983. _(T_ _he_ _assembly lube can still be seen inside … see photos)_ Again, the cast case is **NOT** originalto the trans (as he purchased it) but the guts, side cover and tail shaft housing are. As far as I can tell from research: This is an early 10 Spline Input and 16 Spline Output Close Ratio T-10 I marked the input and output shafts and matched the rotation to close ratio charts **I** **did not count gear teeth** Please see Info cast into the trans listed below… **Aluminum Tailshaft** T10-7B (raised cast) WG DIV (raised cast) 12 9 60 (cast on a raised tag with screw heads on each end) A cast in oval tag with an I and a pin on either side of it **Aluminum Left Side Case Cover** **(shift plate)** T10-148B (raised cast) W.G. DIV. (raised cast) Also cast in is an A within an A next to a D above a C Logo **Input Bearing support** Has a W with a circle around it T89B-6 (raised cast) N9 (stamped) **RH Side of Cast Iron Case** T10-1B (raised cast) W.G. DIV.
