This is a very nice 1973 Corvette L82 distributor, part number on tag is 1112098. Dated January 29, 1973. The main shaft turns very smoothly and is tight side to side. I can't detect any lateral play in it. I inspected the cross shaft gear and it is in excellent condition. I installed a new cross shaft nylon button. The main shaft is in excellent condition as well. Main drive gear shows no noticeable wear. I There is nearly no lateral movement in the cross shaft. I installed a new NOS rotor. The points and condenser are heavy duty with a tiny amount of use. Vacuum advance pod works properly and holds vacuum. I believe this is a drop in ready piece. Just rough set the points and set the dwell after it is installed and running. Please look at pictures. Great distributor for that 73 corvette you’re working on.
