**I picked up a clean 1976 912E a few months back that was in the midst of an engine rebuild in 1993 when the owner died. The new and refurbished parts remained in boxes in a crawl space for 32 years.** **It is my belief that this smog pump was rebuilt as most of the other loose parts were. I have tested it and it turns freely and quietly. It pumps air as it should.** **This is a must for any California car.**
