A Dash Pot is basically a shock absorber for the throttle. When you decelerate, your throttle vale closes, and this Creates a vacuum that draws raw fuel thru your engine. This Dash Pot allows the butterfly valve on your carburetor To close slowly eliminating the raw fuel draw. Similar to what a Decel valve does on other AirCooled models You can run a 34 pict-3 without these, but sometimes they are needed These are tested for function and sold as working units Sale is for 1 dash pot with bracket
