Many times Ford will discontinue or replace a certain part number so substitute part is required. **SIZE DETAILS** It has a 10mm hex head. I am including some pictures against a tape measure showing the overall length from both in front of and behind the washer. We measure approximately 57mm and 59m respectively. Ford specs this bolt as 55mm, perhaps they do not include the leading tip of the bolt, the part without threads. Compare to your original bolt to help make your decision. We have had many customers use this bolt on models from 1996 and above. This is an 8mm x 55mm bolt. These are the bolts that hold the intake to the heads. This bolt has the preferred smaller head (10mm hex) just the the originals. May also fit additional motors as well. Please review the pictures I have included. They show the old style bolt and measurements, comparing to the new bolt. This is an M8-1.25, grade 8.8 hardened bolt with a rust resistant finish. This is an upgraded style of this bolt that has a hex head with flange and now includes an attached (captive) heavy-duty washer to help spread out the load. This bolt is much better than the original style. We have seen many selling this bolt for as much as $12+ per bolt.   If you are changing out your intake manifold (for the common coolant leaking issue) it is a great idea and piece of mind to replace as much of the old rusty hardware as possible. They will install much easier and help provide the important even torque across the manifold. Also if you found rust or corrosion in the threads, use a thread chaser or tap in threads in the head to clean out the threads before you reinstall. Size is M8-1.25 x 55mm. I have included a bunch of pictures showing different angles and against a tape measure for you to compare to your original bolts. We use this kit on 4.6L SOHC (2V) engines. This bolt may fit other applications and other engines engine. Compare to your size. If within a couple of mm it will most likely work for your setup but use your best judgement. Even though this bolt is listing to fit to the intake manifold, it may also have additional fitment and uses on the motor including but not limited to various brackets, etc. You should see your model listed and compare to your original bolts dimensions. Happy to assist. **UPDATE: Need thermostat housing bolts?** We frequently have the long bolts available that retain the thermostat housing in another listing. Those bolts are approximately 90mm long and also retain the lower intake manifold. When they do sell out they are normally only 3-5 days out. Contact me for assistance. **TIP**: Follow toque sequence for your manifold. They want you to install it in at least 2 steps (18 in-lbs, & 18 ft-lbs). We have found the final toque listed at 18 ft. lbs. but confirm the spec for your intake manifold. I will try to find a diagram I can post in the pictures above, but for now you can see the sequence. Use the most current information you can find available for your make and model.
