# 99 -04 Ford Mustangs 3.8l V6 and F150's 4.2l # For sale is one rear and one front original equipment Intake Control Module Actuator Rods. Also enclosed are 5 new retainer clips from Dorman. You will only need four retainer clips to install the control rods, but you will probably break one or drop one into a place where it will never be found, so I am sending 5 clips. A good share of the Ford with an IMCR that I see have at least one of these clips broken. These individual control rods are not sold by Ford unless you buy the complete IMRC Motor Actuator Control Unit assembly for about $289.00.The Ford part numbers for the entire actuator is either, in case you want to look it up and buy the entire unit. XL3Z-9J559-BA, 2L3Z-9J559-AB, 2F2E9J559AA, XF2E-9J559-AA \# If you are here looking at this page you are most likely missing the control arms. Buy with confidence! I personally clean and inspect each control arm to ensure proper fit. I only sell parts that I would put in my own car and these are OEM parts. The control actuators offered here are a sub assembly of the Ford part listed and are sold only as a complete unit by Ford. I am offering you what you need to do the fix without purchasing the entire unit as the actual actuator rarely goes bad. # The issue with the IMCR is that the retainer clips become brittle over time and break with use.The control rods then come loose and either fall down on top of the engine block or are lost on the roadway. So if you lost these, someone probably picked it up in their front tire. Control rods are needed to bring back correct idle control and power to your Mustang or F150. I have included a series of YouTube video that shows the issue and how to properly complete the repair. This video shows the clip replacement. Attached is a link to a series of videos taken of a F150 to replace the IMCR, but the fix is the same for the Mustang # https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAE8k15JMYs Part 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBVjLQLa2FQ Part 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2dgPyNYQXQ Part 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXEUcIvaxqU Part 4 \# If you are here looking for control arms for the Freestar, these are not the correct ones. Do not buy Freestar rods for your F150/Mustang and vice versa. I ship as soon as I can get to the post office, either same day or the day after payment has cleared. As someone who fixes my own cars I understand the need to get your parts in hand quickly. So I go out of my way to ensure that your shipment gets to the Post Office as quickly as possible. Look over my feedback. Many buyers have been kind enough to mention that shipping was faster than expected. # Quick note on installation: Install the clips in the servo arms first, then push in these control arms. Believe me, this is the correct process and there is less chance of breaking the new clips. # I understand the importance of getting parts in your hands ASAP and I therefore ship same day if possible and shipping is USPS Priority Mail See my feedback, customers write that I ship quickly. Thank you for looking!
