As thrust is transferred onto the splines they will slowly beat away and become weak. When the splines beat away they will feel sharp and be very thin. In severe cases the splines will even strip away completely. ## This is a OEM used ring gear that has been cleaned and inspected. ## This part will need to be replaced if you see signs of heat or broken teeth. ## The 48RE transmission can be found in DODGE applications including 2500 and 3500 trucks.
