This alternator design doesn't work like any conventional alternators. On Civics and Accords from 2013 to 2022, the battery voltage is controlled by the car computer. When the battery reaches its maximum charge, the voltage then drops to 12.9-V. When he lights and/or air conditioning are turned on, the voltage will then increase to 14.2-V. That's how it works.
