First and foremost: I test each one before I sell them. About 1 in 15 do not work when I test them! When they stop working, generally one of two things happens: 1) it no longer goes into programming mode and is completely dead, or 2) it no longer accepts a new remote to be programmed and won’t work anymore. Please read troubleshooting first to rule out a common problem with these: Troubleshooting tip 1: Some Camrys have an intermittent issue where only the driver door will lock/unlock and the other door locks sometimes do not work. That issue is not related to this part. It is a problem in the fuse panel soldering connection below steering wheel.   Replacing this module will not fix that issue. Troubleshooting tip 2: If the light in your headliner (dome light) isn't working, go ahead and check the fuse for that light because that's also the fuse for this module. Item description: Replace your existing module or install factory keyless entry if your car doesn’t have it! This is an easy plug and play keyless entry upgrade (or replacement) for your Camry keyless entry. Some of the camrys came from the factory with out keyless entry, but a lot of them were prewired with a plug located behind the plastic cover on the rear passenger pillar (just pull on it and you will see if you have a plug behind it). If you do not have a prewired plug (or existing defective receiver), then your only option is to get an aftermarket keyless system installed. Sorry! Only two steps: 1)Plug the module in and secure it with the screw (I am including the mounting screw too). 2) Program remotes using instructions on the provided link. Voila!
