2000-2005 VW MK4 02J Jetta Golf 5-Spd Shifter Cables M/T Manual Beetle GTI VR6 TDI This Genuine Volkswagen shifter box, cables and mount bracket were carefully removed from a 2002 MK4 Volkswagen Jetta fitted with a 02J 5-speed manual transmission. This shifter assembly has been rebuilt, inspected, and greased. The original pivot bushing has been shimmed to minimize slop and ensure proper motion. The cable casings show some age but are in good functional condition and the crimped cable ends are tight. The cable mount bracket, shifter box and lower cover have some visible corrosion, but are all functional. Box and cable bracket mounting hardware is included as shown in the listing photos. Note: The left rear mount has a small stress crack (see photos).   The mount ear is not broken and still rigid but care should be taken to ensure the mount ear is not bent or excessively loaded during installation. This shifter assembly was original to MK4 Jetta, Beetle and Golf models with the 02J 5-speed manual transmissions having the silver club style counterweight shift tower (roughly 2000 through 2005 model years). This assembly is NOT compatible with 1998-1999.5 MK4 early style black counterweight shift tower and double pivot shift stalk / box.
