This listing includes the HD gear upgrade. If you need both left and right-side motors rebuilt, then you must select two (2) items. It is recommended that you have both sides rebuilt at the same time because if one motor has failed, the other is not far behind. There is no aftermarket for these headlight motors and re-build-able core motors are getting very scarce. Rebuilding these motors is the only good option so please understand this before ordering. **You have 2 options to handle the core exchange for this item:** **OPTION # 1****CORE EXCHANGE** Send in your core motor(s) to be rebuilt/remanufactured.  Ship to: Stanley Miller, 56020 Farmington Drive, Middlebury, IN 46540. You will also receive a message after your purchase with instructions. This option does not require a core charge. **OPTION #2 REFUNDABLE CORE CHARGE DEPOSIT** With this option you will receive an already rebuilt motor (specify left or right) or motors (left and right if you purchase two).This option requires an additional $75 per motor refundable core charge deposit billed separately. The core charge is fully refundable if you return your re-buildable core motor after replacing it with the reman motor. The core charge is the only way to assure a constant supply of re-buildable motors for our friends in the Pontiac Firebird community and also keeps them out of our landfills. HEAVY DUTY GEAR UPGRADE.....(included with this listing)....I am now able to offer a heavy-duty upgrade for the failure prone intermediate drive gear.  You will likely never have to worry about a stripped or broken gear ever again. **You cannot buy a new or rebuilt motor with this upgrade anywhere else but here.** All headlight motors are completely disassembled, cleaned, and fully rebuilt to OEM specifications.
