1969 VW Speedometer 113957023E For Parts

BASED ON MY RESEARCH I BELIEVE THIS ITEM WAS USED ON THE YEAR(S) AND MODEL(S) AS STATED IN THE LISTING TITLE. I AM NOT 100% CERTAIN IF THE YEAR AND MODEL I STATED IN THE LISTING TITLE IS 100% CORRECT.   PLEASE DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH TO VERIFY THIS ITEM IS CORRECT FOR YOUR RESTORATION PROJECT. **NOTE: This is an incomplete parts only speedometer as the glass lens retainer located behind the glass is missing.** Date of Manufacture 2.69 (February 1969) Model # 113 957 023E Speedometer disassembled, cleaned, inspected, bench tested. Chrome bezel has some cracks (see last five pictures) Glass lens has no cracks or breaks but there are scratches Odometer numbers easy to read, no sun fading. Mileage: 75,035 Chucked speedometer in an electric drill and ran drill varying the speed for 2 miles. The needle rises and falls with varying speed and the odometer advances from miles to miles. NOTE: There are two issues, the needle AKA pointer is broke and the stud located at 0 MPH has broke off and is missing (see last five pictures). Gas gauge date code is 1.69 (January 1969). Bench tested Gas gauge by applying a voltage. Needle reacts and moves on gauge confirming electrical continuity.
