1966-69 Ford FE 428 1U Crankshaft-STD/STD-Needs Keyway Repair

Item Description: For sale is a late 60's Ford FE 428 engine crankshaft, this crankshaft has been heavily polished on and the journals are in good shape and have a coating of grease on them to protect from rust/corrosion, all main and rod journals have been polished around .001"-.002" undersize except for the #4 and #5 main bearing journals which have been polished to approximately .004" undersize or so, those journals had that most pitting before polishing and still show a a slight bit of pitting but it is minor, there is a slight bit of pitting on a couple other journals still showing but it is very very minor, there is also some damage to the front keyway area on the crankshaft's snout where it looks like the key was rolled, rekeying or repairing the front keyway would be required before using, other than fixing the front keyway this crankshaft could probably be ran as is with special bearings made for heavily polished cranks that are a few thousandths undersize but it probably isn't the worst idea to have the crankshaft turned .010" under if buyer desires, again I would have this crankshaft's keyway repaired, journals possibly turned, and an overall inspection done before using, overall this crankshaft with a little bit of work would make a great part of a Ford FE engine build Specs: Crankshaft Casting #- 1U Crankshaft Journal Size- STD/STD (polished .002".004" under) Brought to you by Blue Oval Farms & Performance!
