This 1959-1962 Chevy Impala RIGHT Rear Drum Brake Backing Plate is an original used GM part. For an additional fee we can media blast and prime the part as shown in the photo. The way to distinguish between right and left is the hole where the emergency brake cable enters. It should face toward the front of the vehicle. Some backing plates may have pitting. Also, some backing plates had the splash guard during these years, but not all of them. To order the plate with the splash guard see LY-06-003R
