Standard flow thermostats flow up-to 37 gallons of coolant per minute (GPM).. The high flow thermostat can flow up-to 56 GPM. This is a significant increase in coolant flow and a potential of increased heat extraction from your radiator.** MotoRad is the only thermostat manufacturer that produces true "High Flow" thermostats for today's higher performance engines. The wider opening allows up to 50% more coolant flow. I'll try to address it hear:** Thermostats have a “rated” temperature (such as 160F, 170F, or 180F) This is the temperature the thermostat will start to open, releasing heated coolant from the engine into the radiator. The thermostat will fully open once the coolant gets another ten or fifteen degrees warmer. Do you need a different temperature? We carry similar kits in both 180 & 195 degrees in another listing.
