They normally want you to install & torque it in at least 2** **steps. Confirm** **the spec for your intake manifold.** ****FYI**** ****The maximum torque for a M6-1.0 bolt hardness 8.8, is only 7.8lb/ft**** ****(very little torque) Use a 1/4" torque wrench and torque in 2 steps.**** **From many of the Ford F150 Forums, the spec is as follows:** **Torque** **in 2 steps, first step 18 inch pounds, 2nd step 89 inch pounds in a** **criss-cross pattern starting from the center and then out. This is not the "correct" bolt according to Ford....** **The bolts in this listing are not shown to fit the 2004 F150 5.4L 3 valve engines. These are the bolts that hold the intake to the heads. This bolt has the preferred small head (10mm hex) just the the originals. Current pictures are actual photos & a few just stock images. New pictures show measurements with overall length. This is a special M6-1.0 x 45mm, grade 8.8 hardened bolt with a rust resistant finish.   We have seen many selling this bolt for as much as $10 per bolt. This is a complete set of 10 bolts. If you are changing out your intake manifold (for the common coolant leaking issue) it is a great idea and piece of mind to replace as much of the old rusty hardware as possible. They will install much easier and help provide the important even torque across the manifold. Also if you found rust or corrosion in the threads, use a thread chaser or tap in threads in the head to clean out the threads before you reinstall. **Update:** **TIP**: Follow the correct toque sequence & torque rating for your manifold.
