See last picture.** We've rebuilt both units seemingly countless of times. There is no visible difference between the parts of the two units. Unless you need to have the top end, high rpm's, performance found with the stock part number for the 500SL, save the $$$ with this substitute. If you just want to cruise, this version performs quite nicely. **INSTALLATION KIT (used, polished OEM fittings) as seen in the pictures are not included. They are available in another listing.** **Price is for One (1) FUEL DISTRIBUTOR ONLY.** Newly remanufactured ones (diaphragm and other internals replaced) can cost $1.499+. You can save a ton of money and increase the likelihood that you'll still have many years of trouble-free use from this NEWLY REMANUFACTURED fuel distributor. We've replaced the old, Ethanol-worn diaphragm with the new generation, ethanol resistant one. We've also flow tested each unit to make sure that the flow rates are within factor specifications. We've included the same 1 Year warranty on it as what comes with a brand new part. 90% of time, when a unit fails it's because the diaphragm is damaged and sending debris that clogs the tiny passage ways. See the last two pictures to see what is inside a typical used one and one that has been damaged due to neglect (rust). **REMANUFACTURE VERIFICATION** **You will receive "before and after the rebuild and testing" pictures from the unit you will be receiving with the serial number plate and numbers in full view.** You can see that we really did open up the unit in order to perform a full rebuild. There is no question that the work was truly done. No other seller does this- regardless of price- why is that? Just re-wrap your old unit in the same packing bag and place it in the same box as what your order came in. Seal the box and tape the label to the box. Then just drop it off in the "pre-paid bin" at the Post Office (no standing in line!) If we can use it as a Core for rebuilding, we will refund you up to the Core Value. If we can't, we'll send it back to you at our expense. **REAL FACTS ABOUT "USED" PARTS AND Team QuxQualityParts.com** Please don't have unreal expectations or be fooled by exaggerated claims by other sellers. All "Used or Pre-owned" fuel distributors, tested or not, will always have a high risk of failure. It is not possible to have a great deal of certainty how much life is left in a 20+ year old used unit. All of them have accumulated a large amount of debris (crud) internally that can come loose, clog the unit and leave you stranded. The Ethanol additives in gasoline today have eaten away at the diaphragms causing them to release fragments of the diaphragm adding to the crud build up. These overly weakened diaphragms have already ruptured or will fail very soon. When the used unit fails, add in the cost of a tow and a mechanic and that "cheaper" used unit will end up costing you many times more than a Newly Remanufactured Unit. This is why we can no longer include a meaningful warranty with used units so we have decided to stop selling them. Only a truly New or Newly Remanufactured unit will have almost no risk of failure for a long time. You can depend on my extended warranty for protection. We have also been a seller for 20+ years with a perfect customer service record among reasonable buyers. Overall, our record is only slightly less than perfect if you include the nutty ones. To make comparisons simple I've developed the grading scale below). L5: Newly Remanufactured - new Ethanol-resistant diaphragm, O-rings and seals, Tested, 1 YR. Warranty. L4: Used, Remanufactured or Partially Remanufactured - same as L5 but previously remanufactured and used for many years, some external evidence of being Remanufactured (label attached, new bolts, superior case finish, etc.), 1 YR Warranty. L3: Used- Excellent Quality and Condition, Tested, as originally manufactured, 6 Month Warranty. L2: Used- Average quality and condition, simply removed from salvaged car and boxed, no cleaning or conditioning, 14-Day Warranty. L1: AS-IS- some defect noted, sold as a CORE, NO Warranty. **CONDITIONS** You must make sure to exactly match your existing part number to the part number below or your warranty will be void and you'll be subject to the 20% restocking charge upon return of the item. Please inspect the item thoroughly- especially the installation and mounting points, for visible defects BEFORE installation or attempted use. Once you have installed or used the item, you will not be able to return the item based on a defect that would have been visible prior to its installation or use. **WARRANTY INFORMATION** During the specified warranty period, the Warranty covers only the repair or replacement (at the discretion of the seller) of a defective unit including return domestic shipping to the buyer. International shipping is at the buyer's expense for both ways. Seller is not responsible for any other expense incurred by the buyer for related or consequential damage attributable to the defective unit. The repaired or replacement unit is then also covered under the warranty for the remainder of the original warranty period. For a warranty claim during the 14 days after confirmed delivery, the cost of shipping for repair is also included. Afterward, buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping both ways. Photographs will be taken and furnished to the buyer upon: receipt of the unit, after the unit is disassembled, repaired, while being tested, and when ready for shipment. To keep the warranty valid, the buyer CAN NOT alter the unit or introduce debris into the unit. It is strongly recommended that the buyer make certain that the fuel supply is completely clean (clean the gas lines, filter and tank if necessary). If, upon disassembly of the unit, we discover that debris is present (as evidenced by photos taken), no further service will be performed under the warranty. Unless the buyer makes other arrangements with the seller at the buyer's expense, the unit will be reassembled and returned to the buyer. **RETURN POLICY** Cash Refunds can only be made during the 14-Day Return Period.
