Buyers had been taking it apart and replacing the actuator and returning it, or just trying to mimic the marks on it and return their old one in its place. Its been a huge pain. Because of that, we no longer just test them in the cars and just ship them. - We test every steering assist motor that ships out. We also completely take it apart, check the internal gearing, mark it internally, test the actuator, make sure its greased, re-assemble the unit, and spin it to make sure its not locked up. The only units that ship are the ones that we check. - It ends up a tremendous value as you are getting a refurbished unit. It gives us piece-of-mind , as We have personally gone through each and every unit that ships.
